That's Boogie's guide? Thanks. You mind telling us what scores this was hitting?
I have just one question. And because I am too lazy I have never sat down and done the maths on this. And it's also why I try to avoid farm civs...
Anyway, is it really always best to send out explorers every month? My gut says it must be best (maybe from around 1004 to the point where it's 225 food per explorer) to stock up food and send explorers out in Feb, March and April.
Obviously if you make enough food per year for e.g. 5000 explorers, it is surely better to have 5,000 explorers out from March - September at an average of 1.15*basic formula, than it is to have them out 2,500 all year at 1*basic formula.
Of course this is a 15% increase, which will be partly offset by needing increased space, increased town centres. But I'm pretty certain there will be an 8-10 year period where it is best to only send out in March....
